Cheerleaders and Dancers of the Final Four: Syracuse's Ashley

The major Cinderella story of the 2016 NCAA Tournament isn't your typical Cinderella story. Instead of a mid-major like Butler or Gonzaga making an improbable run to the Final Four and crashing the party as a double-digit seed, this year we have one of college basketball's great programs making the trek to the Final Four all the way from a 10 seed. So still a Cinderella, but only in the most technical definition.

But I'm excited The Cuse is back in the Final Four. Because now I have a great excuse to feature freshman dancer Ashley. Majoring in Public Relations at the prestigious Newhouse School of Public Communication at Syracuse, Ashley is hoping to turn her degree into a job in fashion or sports PR at some point in the future. Preferably in Manhattan. Sounds like a pretty good gig to me.

Ashley doesn't get to go to the Final Four this year (only a small number of girls were selected), but since she's only a freshman she has plenty more chances. Because I have a feeling she's going to stick with her squad for the long haul. She loves being a part of her school's spirit program and encourages anyone out there questioning whether or not to tryout to take the leap. After all, you might just get to go to the Final Four some day!
